Lauren's frame was that skill gaps are solvable problems, not identity failures. When the imposter syndrome hit — "what qualification do I have?" — the answer she landed on was "if people can sell peptides, surely I can make a business of something that actually works." The bar for entry was lower than the doubt suggested, and the missing skills were all learnable: "I've picked up so many skills in the last 6 months — I now know how to do like backend website design."

Her closing take makes the same point at career scale: "I don't think you necessarily need to have this great background of I've been at this company or that company and I know all these people in order to actually deliver something pretty cool."
